Enjoy your Easter weekend. You just made my brain hurt way too early. You're lucky I like you or I'd be mad.

"I'm not saying that the there aren't wonderful things in the world, but just that at a certain point they all pass away. Everything you do will be swallowed by death." I disagree. You assume that we are defined by the physical, and I can understand the temptation to do so. It's easy, it's quantifiable, and heck, you can touch it. However, if I used the physical to define my success in this life I would be limiting myself horribly. For example: In the physical sense, I have a daughter. Yay. I procreated. But there is so much more to it than that. There is the joy in her success at tying her own shoes the first time. The satisfaction of her being the only well behaved kid at the restaurant. The pride in seeing her stand up for herself, and for what's right, even when she didn't think I was watching. The love and devotion I lavish on her continues on, even after I die, and my physical fades away. She will in turn pass it to her children, and they to their own.... Choosing to do the right thing doesn't fade or disappear. Even after we are gone, it was the right thing to do....

I agree with you that we are more than just physical beings. If you look closely at my argument you will see that I am arguing against materialism.

Still, this is only a side issue, as I pointed out later in my response.

You, sir, are sooo awesome on so many levels. I love a christian who knows what they believe and why they believe it. I also sincerely thank you for your words of encouragement and your prayers at this challenging time of my life. Bless you, Sir, abundantly!
