He probably just wants you to work on the weekends

Hmm... you may be right, E-Beth, but then the problm with that theory is that he knows I simply will not work on weekends. But perhaps he is just a slow learner. Or a gnome. One or the other.

are you baiting me with the gnome attacks? LOL. the gnomes are watching you...and saying things...oh my.

Crate Obscure - 2005-04-27 09:00:53
Mua-ha-ha! The gnomes watch me, eh? But who watched the gnomes? Mua-ha-ha!

I have never worked somewhere that I liked. I've come to the conclusion that I just don't want to work, and anything that takes me away from what I want to be doing (sleeping, etc.) just infuriates me.

I actually liked working here "once upon a time"... it just degraded, slowly, into a black hole of depravity. Or maybe it was I who changed. I don't know.

it's disappointing, watching something that was once good and exciting fall away. But usually that is the sign of change coming round to bring you to new great things! I'm looking forward to seeing what new changes arrive for you. I love being in college, I'm treasuring the break from the time-card hell I have lived in for so many years.

Thanks ag, it's a good thing to remember. Because of that I promise to stop my antignomianism.

artgnome - 2005-04-27 10:34:13
no worries, my dear crate. there are naughty gnomes out there for sure. always remember my own fabulous famous quote: "being an asshole is an equal opportunity employer."

Crate Obscure - 2005-04-27 10:36:08
That's a good one, ag! I'll have to remember that.

gnow what? I could swear I gnew exactly what you were going to say there. I must be America's Gnext Top Psychic. </snark>

Black hole of depravity you say? Perhaps the Beth's and I should work there instead.

Crate Obscure - 2005-04-27 11:53:55
Oh, I don't think you would like it here, oomm. We're definitely on The Dark Side. Lots of evil midochlorines, James Earl Jones' voice coming out of the intercomm system all the time, etc...
-------------------------------
oomm - 2005-04-27 15:13:53
what about me suggests I don't already RUN the dark side. JEJ is my puppet.

Also, you calling my body bloated reminds me of why we ain't married anymore.

Crate Obscure - 2005-04-27 15:33:16
Sorry, sweetie. I don't learn from personal experience real well ;)

As for any hypothetical decaying corpses, they tend to bloat when they are killed with certain, er, techniques. Nothing personal was intended.

And I think the reason we ain't married no more is because you baked my poor kitty into a pie and fed him to me. That, and the fact that you then killed me. Yeah, you keep forgetting that part!
-------------------------------
oomm - 2005-04-27 16:24:17
Oh no, you ain't pinning this on me. I HAD to do all of that to get back at you for leaving me home chained next to the cat box and takin away all my Bovious books.

bastardo.

Every time you tell this story I'm guilty of an additional atrocity. This sounds as fake as the moon landing if you ask me. Or the Kennedy Assasination. Or Nuclear Waste.

These things are just now coming out in therapy. I had repressed them.

Everyone keeps telling me to get a "real, adult" job. But everyone I know with a real job hates it. WTF. I hope things at work start changing or that recruiter has the dream job or at least something you like way better.

or maybe some past lives, Oomm?
