One of the great things, I think, about being in the family of God, is that you find out pretty quickly who your REAL friends are. It has taken years, but my family has come to respect me and what I believe in, what with all the healing it has brought me. At first though, they thought I was in a cult, that this was just another of my insane phases of trendiness. Now they are just plain SCARED of me. hah! nobody's doormat anymore...

Thanks for the words of encouragement, AG! I appreciate it!

I've never had anyone stop being my friend due to my being a Christian but I have had people stop being my friend because I had a child. My best friend decided I wasn't worth her time any more. I've also had people not want to be my friend for the same reason. Not exactly the same but I know where you are coming from. It sucks that people can act like that.

If you lived in Boston it would be different. Here, everything is "tolerated" except believing in Jesus. Anyway, E-Beth, I think it stinks the way people treated you. It just isn't right!

funny, I live in NYS and feel the same way...except revival is running rampant here, seems to be, anyway. and with the Billy Graham crusade coming to NYC, I'm exciting to see what is going to happen.

I'm sure Boston isn't the only place like this, but I can't vouch for other places. Anyway, I'm glad revival is happening! A number of friends have told me they expect a Boston revival soon, so maybe I will live to see the day that this city on a literal hill becomes a figurative one as well.

So, wait, I'm a little behind the times...you haven't gone insane?

Sadly, Oomm, no. Not yet. But this is a long weekend, so there is still hope! Also - we miss you!
