Your best bet is to stock up on activated charcoal and hope for the best. Meat is a tricky bastard.

I would only keep it for four or five days. Any longer than that and it might go bad but not smell weird yet, because meat is indeed a tricky bastard. And believe me, you DO NOT want to eat spoiled meat unless you enjoy explosive diarrhea and vomiting. Good morning, that was lovely.

ES - What the heck is activated charcoal? How is it different from plain old charcoal? Am I going to be barbecueing my fridge? And what's all this about the wrong address? I'm very confused...

Beth - Thanks! 4 days should be sufficient. I didn't cook that much meat.

Also making sure the meat is thoroughly cooked and any uneaten food immediately refrigerated. And steer clear of any food that is growing fur...that is all.

Activated charcoal is what they give you at the hospital when they pump your stomach. You then puke this horrible black stuff for days. Again, I am so lovely this morning.

AG - It was cooked as if cooked by someone with a neurotic fear of food poisoning, so you know there was no pink in this meat at all. There was only a few minutes between cooking and refrigiration. And I eat nothing furry. It goes against my deeply held convictions regarding the rise and fall of cultures.

Beth - You are like some wonderful poet with your descriptions this morning!

Star Wars? Is that some new movie coming out? Is it like Battle of the Network Stars?

Oomm - I used to love Battle of the Network Stars! I'm surprised they haven't brought it back.

Any day now Crate, any day.

I don't know if it would cause me to actually start watching television again, but it would give me a warm, fuzzy feeling to know that it was back in the aether...
