I was IMing with a friend of mine on Friday. I mentioned that my big Friday night plans were to watch some Dr. Who on DVD. Here is the conversation that ensued.

[16:15] Her: Wow...sounds interesting.
[16:16] Me: Oh, yeah. I'm what they call "Mr. Excitement". People have to stand back when I enter into a room because I might overwhelm them You know, with all the interesting stuff I do and such It's a burden which has taken me a long time to learn to live with.
[16:17] Her: lol

She also helped me write the following email to the Starbucks district manager. (BTW, I actually really love Starbucks. I'm not happy about that, but there you go.):

Dear Joe,

I'm a big fan of Starbucks, but I would really appreciate it if your stores carried some low-carb snacks in addition to your delicious, but very high in carb, pastries. Also, I think the employees in your store are great. They always seem clean. What sort of detergent do your recommend for their uniforms? Does Tide detergent give you a rash?

I was taking the T (eg, The Subway) home Saturday. The loudspeaker was playing all these "Watch out for terrorists!" messages when I overheard someone comment "Oh, they must be playing those messages because of the bombings in Paris." Now because I always assume the best about people I thought "I can't believe it! They bombed Paris so soon after London!" I ran home to check the news, only to discover that the people I overheard talking were morons.

Lastly, I will be taking another vacation from Diaryland. Nothing personal, fellow d-landers. I just need some space. I'll be back.

Reading To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Fantastic!
